In a decisive push to strengthen grassroots enterprise, the Federal Government has disbursed ₦250,000 each to outstanding business owners in Ondo State — a move that underscores the growing recognition of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as the backbone of Nigeria's economy.
Speaking at the launch of the 7th Expanded National MSME Clinics in Akure, Vice President Kashim Shettima reaffirmed that creating an enabling environment for MSMEs is central to the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
He described the grant as "a gift from Nigerians, through their government, to the champions of local industry," signalling a government-wide commitment to supporting small business innovation, resilience, and growth.
