Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, CEO of Benue Investment and Property Company, disclosed this in Makurdi while hosting the Brazilian investors. He described SONO Group as a tier-one global player with a balance sheet profit of €60.6 million, noting that the deal will transform orange farming in the state. According to him, the factory—set to resume operations in October—will slash post-harvest losses by 80%, raise farmers' income, create jobs for youths, and boost Benue's GDP. "This is about adding value to our oranges and ensuring our farmers have a ready market," he said. The move is expected to end the export of Benue oranges to other states for processing, positioning the state as Nigeria's citrus hub. | | | |
