Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has launched the Oluremi Tinubu Industrial Leather Hub in Mushin, projecting $250 million (₦387.5bn) in annual export earnings when fully operational.
The hub will create over 10,000 jobs within three years, with 70% reserved for women and youth, while 150,000 artisans are set to benefit from training and start-up support.
Sanwo-Olu said the initiative will transform raw hides and skins into world-class footwear, garments, and accessories proudly labeled "Made-in-Lagos, Made-in-Nigeria."

The hub positions Lagos as the leather logistics capital of West Africa, while empowering 18,500 women with skills, tools, and opportunities to thrive.
