Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned the first phase of the Ajara Housing Scheme in Badagry, delivering 420 new homes for Lagos residents.
Speaking during the event, the governor said the project, which had been stalled for several years, was revived and completed under his administration after resolving long-standing challenges that had delayed its progress.
"This project began years ago but was stalled for some time. When we came in, we resolved the challenges and got it moving again," Sanwo-Olu said. "I'm pleased to note that it's the 24th housing estate delivered by our administration so far."

The governor also announced the launch of the second phase of the project, which will deliver an additional 800 housing units upon completion.
According to him, the Badagry area continues to witness significant development through the state's investments in road infrastructure, healthcare, education, and housing.
"Together, we're shaping a Greater Lagos, one community at a time," Sanwo-Olu said.
