The move is expected to significantly benefit small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs), which often struggle with high operating costs and downtime caused by unreliable electricity. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori said the policy is aimed at ensuring consistent and affordable power supply to drive business productivity, attract investments, and enhance the overall competitiveness of SMEs. He described the initiative as part of his administration's broader agenda for infrastructure development, economic diversification, and inclusive growth.
